Volt Intelligence, Inc. ("Volt") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy governs Volt's use of personal data collected by us. The definition of personal data may vary from country to country; to ensure the protection of your personal data, we define it as any information that may directly or indirectly identify you.
Volt is a Delaware corporation with its corporate address at 8114 Chilson Road, Pinckney, MI 48169. In this Privacy Policy, "Volt," "our," "we," or "us" refers to Volt. Volt is the controller of your personal data under this Privacy Policy with which you had, have, or will have a business relationship.
You are a user of our Services when you interact with our webapp functions, interactive features, and/or provide information, materials, or content on our Platform ("User").
The definition of "children" is subject to local and national laws and may vary accordingly. Based on the information available to Volt, we do not knowingly or intentionally collect and process children's data when using our services or visiting our Platform. If you believe we have inadvertently collected children's personal data, please reach out to us at info@voltintelligence.com, and we will delete the personal data as soon as possible.
Much of this Privacy Policy is divided into sections based on the way you may interact with Volt. For each user type, we explain what information we collect and why, what other technologies we use, how we disclose your information, and your rights.
Depending on the circumstances, you may provide us the following types of personal data: contact information (name, address, email, phone number); personal information (age, date of birth, gender); payment and billing information (billing address and payment method details — raw payment card data is handled exclusively by our third-party payment processor and is not stored by Volt); account log-in information (username, security question); and athletic and performance data (movement metrics, performance scores, training session data, and other data generated through your use of kAI and OptikAI). This last category may constitute sensitive personal information and is processed only with your consent and solely to deliver our services.
kAI is Volt's fully proprietary, in-house artificial intelligence engine. kAI is developed, trained, hosted, and operated entirely by Volt using Volt-owned infrastructure and models. Volt does not share, transmit, or otherwise disclose your personal data to any third-party artificial intelligence provider, tool, or platform in connection with kAI or OptikAI processing.
We may disclose personal data within the business network used by Volt for internal, business, and operational purposes, as well as to trusted third-party service providers including cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, analytics and platform performance tools, and customer support services; if we go through a business transition such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your personal data will likely be among the assets transferred; and when legally required, such as to cooperate with law enforcement or other legal proceedings.
Any third party with whom we share your personal data, including our service providers, affiliates, and any parent, subsidiary, or related entity, is contractually obligated to provide the same or equal level of protection for your personal data as set forth in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable law.
We combine your personal data with other users' data to provide aggregate, anonymized statistics to third parties. Athletic, performance, movement, and other motion- or fitness-derived data generated through your use of kAI or OptikAI is excluded from this aggregation and is not used for advertising, marketing, or other use-based data mining; it is used solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Services directly to you.
We process personal data based on your consent, explicitly stated at the moment of collection and withdrawable at any time; on contract, where processing is necessary to perform our obligations to you; on compliance with legal obligations, including to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and on our legitimate interests, including analyzing Platform performance and usage to improve it, keeping you informed of changes to our terms and policies, and fraud detection and prevention. We only rely on legitimate interests where the reason for processing is fair and lawful, and we carry out a balancing test between our interests and your privacy rights. We do not process your personal data without a legal justification.
Volt processes your personal data at all times in accordance with the following principles.
Lawfulness. We ensure processing is carried out in accordance with applicable laws.
Transparency. We strive to provide you as much information as possible about the collection and processing of your personal data.
Purpose limitation. Your personal data is collected for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes and not processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes.
Data minimization. We only collect and process personal data strictly necessary for our services.
Accuracy. We keep your personal data as accurate as possible, and you may rectify it at any time.
Storage limitation. We do not retain your personal data longer than necessary.
Integrity and confidentiality. We implement technical and organizational security measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit and at rest, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, regular security assessments, and contractual obligations on third-party processors. In the event of a personal data breach, Volt will notify affected users and applicable regulatory authorities within the timeframes required by applicable law.
Volt uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Platform. Cookies are small data files placed on your device that let us recognize your browser, remember your preferences, maintain your session, and analyze how users interact with the Platform. We use strictly necessary cookies, required for the Platform to function and unable to be disabled; performance and analytics cookies, which help us understand navigation and improve the Platform under our legitimate interests; and functional cookies, which remember your settings and preferences. You can manage or disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect Platform functionality. For more information, contact us at info@voltintelligence.com.

Volt maintains robust data retention policies for the personal data we process. Where Volt is a "data controller," we delete data once the purposes for which it was collected are fulfilled, including satisfying any legal requirements. In every case, the necessity of retention is assessed against the legal and business purposes relevant to the data, whether those purposes can be achieved through other means, applicable legal requirements, the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data, and the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or accidental disclosure.
Right to access / know. You may request confirmation of whether we process your personal data, and request access to it and information about its processing.
Right to rectification / correction. You may have inaccurate personal data corrected, including through your account settings.
Right to erasure / deletion. Under certain circumstances, you may request deletion of your personal data. You may delete your account and associated data at any time within the app, under Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by submitting a request to info@voltintelligence.com. Certain data may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Right to restriction of processing. Under certain circumstances, you may request that we restrict processing of your personal data.
Right to object (opt-out). Under certain circumstances, you may object to processing by emailing info@voltintelligence.com with the reasons for your objection, where the right applies given the purpose and lawful basis for our processing.
Right to data portability. You may obtain your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, and have it transferred to another controller where technically feasible and where processing is based on consent or contract performance.
Right regarding automated decision-making. You have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
Right to withdraw consent. You may withdraw consent to processing based on consent at any time; this does not apply where processing is required to perform a contract with you or is based on our legitimate interests.
You can exercise any of these rights by submitting a request to info@voltintelligence.com. We reserve the right to decline a request if we are unable to ascertain your identity.
